You are it seems getting free rent. It is his house and his life. He doesnt have to conform, you should just go NOW find a place of your own. People get stuck in their ways.He is stuck in his and by God you are stuck in yours. If you want free rent there is a price to pay there is no such thing as a free anything. What seemed like a good idea initially is just not working so do the sensible thing...leave this man alone and go. ok so you pay your bills whilst living there but you really are going on in a silly way. If you don't like it, move out. As another 59 year old man, I can tell you that one thing we cannot stand is women who make it their purpose to try to change us. You might as well save your strength. You aren't his mother, or his sister, or his aunt or his daddy or and he's a big boy so get off his back! He's lived this long without you and you without him and you are both perfectly capable of continuing on without any help from the other. And besides, if he's so bad, you should get your child away from that influence now! Or is your real concern just that you can live there for free.
